Cómo Expresar Acuerdo con SO y TOO en Inglés – Parte 1

En esta lección aprenderás cómo decir “Yo también” en inglés con SO y TOO.

SO y TOO con Verbos Regulares

Ejemplo con un verbo regular:

Joe trabaja mucho. – Joe works a lot.

(Dado que la oración original tiene un verbo regular (work) se usa el auxiliar DO para expresar acuerdo en una oración corta.)

  • Ella tambien. –
    • So does she. (SO va al principio de la oración.)
    • She does too. (TOO va al final de la oración.)
  • Yo tambien. –
    • So do I.
    • I do too.
    • Me too. – Forma informal

 

SO y TOO con el Verbo TO BE

Ejemplo de SO y TOO con el verbo TO BE:

(Dado que la oración original tiene el verbo TO BE, se usa TO BE en la oración corta también.)

Joe es raro. – Joe is wierd.

  • Ella tambien. –
    • So is she. (SO va al principio de la oración.)
    • She is too. (TOO va al final de la oración.)
  • Yo tambien. –
    • So am I.
    • I am too.
    • Me too. – Forma informal

SO y TOO con Verbos Modales

Ejemplo con un verbo modal:

Joe puede nadar. – Joe can swim.

(Dado que la oración original tiene un verbo modal, se usa este mismo verbo modal en la oración corta también.)

  • Ella tambien. –
    • So can she. (SO va al principio de la oración.)
    • She can too. (TOO va al final de la oración.)
  • Yo tambien. –
    • So can I.
    • I can too.
    • Me too. – Forma informal

SO y TOO con HABER (has, have)

Ejemplo con un HABER:

Joe ha limpiado la casa. – Joe has cleaned the house.

(Dado que la oración original tiene el verbo HABER, se usa HABER (HAS, HAVE) en la oración corta también.)

  • Ella tambien. –
    • So has she. (SO va al principio de la oración.)
    • She has too. (TOO va al final de la oración.)
  • Yo tambien. –
    • So has I.
    • I has too.
    • Me too. – Forma informal

    She watched the game y tu dices que lo acompaña el “do”, por qué no iria el “did”?
    osea en vez “so do I” responder con “so did I”

  73. [..YouTube..] @sergiorafa82 Great question! AS WELL es más formal que SO y TOO. AS WELL funciona como TOO, va al final de la oración. Te doy unos ejemplos: 1) Joe works a lot. She does as well. 2) Joe is tired. She is as well. 3) Joe will apologize. She will as well. 4) Joe has cleaned the house. She has as well.
